Pre-cognitive dreamingPre-cognitive dreams are dreams in which the future is shown to us in our dreams. This can either be in the form of an event being played out as it will happen, or sometimes events can be shown to the dreamer in symbolic form. There are many books available which tell you what certain symbols mean in dreams, but if you inspect several, you may find huge chunks of information which contradict each other over 2 or more books. This doesn't mean that they're all wrong, but just be careful - some people who have pre-cognitive dreams have symbols individual to them only. These symbols are not shapes, but ordinaryobjects or actions representing another meaning. People frequently differ in specifics ; I dream events of little significance from my perspective in the future, whilst someone else I know dreams from a third-person perspective, and dreams of more important events. These dreams can be combined with other types of dreams, and frequently such dreams are Lucid, or they evolve into astral dreaming once the future event has been acted out.
Lucid dreamingLucid dreaming refers to a dreamstate in which actions taken in the dream result in a physical mainfestation. This is evident 99% of the time as pain actually experienced after something happens in the dream. For example, should a person dream that they've just cut their arm, both in the dream and sometimes after as well, they would feel the pain from the cut. Lucid dreams are very often pre-cognitive, but can also represent a person's hidden fears, ambitions or desires.
Astral dreamsAstral dreaming is when a dreamer enters the astral plane whilst in the dream. This is usually nothing more than simply flying in the dream. After all, the astral plane is little different from this realm of reality. Astral travel can be acheived through meditation as well as dreaming. It takes a great deal of practice and the correct frame of mind. Note : this cannot be acheived through use of drugs or any other substance. With the exception perhaps of crystal elixirs, no substance should be used in astral travel, or Out-of-Body-Experiences. Both are highly enjoyable and good for relaxation. They also provide the means of attaining an altered state of consciousness in a healthy manner! This website, however, does not deal with OBEs, so I won't go into much detail here. Ask around at spiritual forums, such as Glenpairt, for people who'll be able to offer more information.
And the rest......Other dreams are often nothing more than the product of our imagination. Or some spiritualists suggest that all dreams take place in another realm of reality, much like the astral plane, which is slightly different from our own. Considering that scientists now believe there to be infinite universes, the theory seems likely to be correct. If you think you might be having pre-cognitive dreams or any other type of dream mentioned here, email me at the address shown on the menu page, and I'll be happy to talk to you.
